The decision to be a donor is a big one that requires a lot of thought by the person involved....I, through the license donor program, am willing to donate any of my organs when the time comes.....However, I can also understand why others are less willing to agree to it....I would like to ask all students of this class to think about it and discuss it with their parents....if you decide you'd like to do it, then sign up for it the next time you get your license renewed...if you choose not to at this time, I respect that also....it is a very personal decision that each of us needs to make....
If a person in my family was in need of an organ and I happen to have an extra one, I'd be willing to give mine up to help them. When I got my license I decided to be a donor and my mom didn't aprove because she heard that they scrape off your skin with a cheese grader.(ew)But she let me have my choice and if anything happens I would like to help someone else in need. That's how I roll.
I would donate to someone in need. I know that if my family is ever in trouble and needs an organ or blood, I would give it to them in a heart beat. Giving something so valuable to save another person's life I think would be a life-changing situation. It would not only change you, but it would change the fortunate person who got your organ or blood.
